Boy Scouts Gone Bad

Back in the day, you wore the khaki and olive with pride. You took an oath to be prepared and, by golly, you were. But somewhere along the line the discipline deteriorated, which explains why you’re on a business trip without your cell-phone charger. Don’t waste money buying a new one. We've got a simple solution that’s absolutely free.

The Solution:

Check with your hotel. Chances are the front desk will have a few chargers that other people left behind.

The Benies:

An extra Jackson or two. New chargers cost upwards of $30. This method costs nothing.

A Verizon-free horizon. This is a biggie, ‘cuz we know the local wireless store’s not where you need to be.

Greener globetrotting. Fewer new chargers translate to a reduction in the environmental impact of manufacturing and the hazardous plastic PVC.

Final Note:

Be sure to leave the borrowed charger with the hotel upon your departure. That way, someone else can benefit from its use in the future. Plus, you’ll have less clutter in your desk drawers when you get home.
