New York, NY- Office Furniture Service (OFS) is pleased to announce that they have designed and produced custom furniture for one of the nation’s largest producers of educational and entertainment television for children.

 

After extensive research and design, the client determined it required furniture that was unique to its space requirements. It had to be sturdy enough to stand up to the rigorous needs of the company and economical enough to meet its budget requirements.

 

OFS, which had been providing preowned furniture and office maintenance services to the company for many years, was approached regarding their specific needs. After reviewing all available furniture, it was mutually decided to have OFS build the furniture. A spokesman for the company indicated that he visited the woodworking shop at OFS and came away extremely impressed. “They showed us previous custom projects that they had completed for many major companies throughout New York. While we had known of the ability of OFS to restore and rejuvenate old furniture, we never realized the extent of their abilities to create custom furniture.”

 

Burt Hochstein, CEO of OFS, indicated that over the past two years the millwork department at OFS has changed dramatically. “We knew that in almost every project that we were doing, there was a need for some custom work, whether it was surfaces, complete offices or even kitchens. We have increased our staffing from two full-time employees to twelve, and have increased the space allocated within our 60,000 square foot warehouse to our millwork department.” He went on to say that having the refinishing, reupholstery and millwork departments located in one location is unique within the office furniture industry.
